The first thing a visitor walks on
A heaved or broken front walk is a trip hazard, and it's usually the first thing people notice about a house. Tree roots, settling and old joints that were never sealed are the usual causes. Once a section lifts more than a fraction of an inch, it's time to replace it, and grinding or patching it rarely lasts.
Walkways we pour
- Front walks from the driveway to the porch, straight or curved
- Side runs out to the backyard, patio, pool gate or shed
- Garden paths and walks out to docks, pavilions and outbuildings
- City sidewalk replacement for homeowners who've received a repair notice
- Curb ramps with detectable warning panels, and commercial access ramps
- Tie-ins to new steps, landings and aprons, so everything meets flush
Curves are formed on site.
A curved walk is formed by hand and bent to the line you want, which is why it costs a little more than a straight run. It's also what makes a front yard look designed instead of just paved. We'll lay the line out with you before we dig.
Got a sidewalk repair notice?
Many cities around Columbus inspect public sidewalks and send notices when panels are raised or broken, and the adjacent homeowner is usually responsible for the repair. Public sidewalk work usually needs a right-of-way permit and has to meet the city's specs. Send us the notice and we'll quote the panels it lists.
